Time To Pull Together

I have put off writing the post for some weeks now, but with the ugly and disgustingly dirty campaign that the DNC is putting forth on our TV sets and radios, it is time to address the U.S. Senate race here in Virginia.  I know many of you are not a fan of Allen and even hold less regard for Kaine, but those are our choices.  You may be inclined to stay home or not vote as a means of protest and though I understand this action, it will not aid us in the end.

We need to step up and work with the candidate that is willing to listen and accept some direction on issues that concern us the most.  Its a pipe dream to think that either would adopt our platform completely, but if we extend the olive branch to our chosen candidate and work to educate him on issues while assisting him in the election, we may just very well open up a line of communication in which will benefit both the Patriots and the candidate.

All politics are local and this is fact, but it does not hurt our causes to have the ear and trust of one of our U.S. Senators.  For too long our pleas have fell on the deaf ears of our current Senators.  Both of them are too busy pulling their party line to be concerned about the damage they have done to our beloved State and Country. It is time to fill one of those seats with an individual that will listen and act on our concerns.

The Tea Party actually sits in the driver seat on this election.  If we do not support Allen he will not win. The Republican Party is split between Constitutional Conservative Tea Party members and liberal leaning statist. The Tea Party holds the keys to an Allen victory ...its just that simple.  This does not mean that we can bully or intimidate the Republican candidate into adopting our positions on issues.  What it does mean is that we have a seat at the table and can carefully and diligently introduce our position on issues and the reasons why we hold those positions.  This is an opportunity we have never had before and it is a chance to show both Democrat and Republican parties our unwavering resolve in the matter of elections and moving our Constitutional Values forward.

I ask each and everyone of the Pen Pats to give careful consideration as to what you can do to be part of the solution that helps educate candidate Allen and allow our positions to be adopted by him.  We need to build this bridge on a strong foundation of mutual respect and trust.  We should be the first to extend a invitation to the Allen Campaign and hopefully they will recognize the importance of our gesture.  If not we best prepare ourselves for 6 more years of a Harry Reid pawn holding one of Virginia's U.S. Senate seats.

The Philosophy of Religion

Mr. David Anthony will be presenting his series of  lectures on "The Philosophy of Religion from 1 A.D. to Present" on June 21, 2012 at the old courthouse in Mathews at 7:00 pm.  In this day of mixed messages about Islam, Judaism and Christianity, it is important to understand the truth of their origins to the present.

This is truly a wonderful opportunity for people to expand their knowledge on the origins of the major religions of the world.  Those that attended Mr. Anthony's "Early American History"  lectures know that this new series will be informative, entertaining, and thought provoking. I highly recommend that you attend and invite a friend to attend also. This excellent lecture series, you won't be disappointed!!!

It is my privilege to invite you to a special event featuring Brigitte Gabriel, Founder and President of
ACT! for America. This event is free and open to the public and will be held at the following:

Lighthouse Worship Center

5 miles north of the Coleman Bridge)

Hayes, VA 23072

Tuesday, June 19th at 7 pm

The events over the past eighteen months have been a sobering wake-up call to America. Without question, the threats radical Islam poses to America have increased.

Brigitte will discuss these threats to our security and our freedoms, such as…

  • The growing threat of homegrown jihad, with the number of such jihadist plots skyrocketing over the past two years.

  • How terrorists are exploiting our porous southern border, often working with drug cartels.

  • The increasingly militant—and successful—effort by Islamists worldwide to suppress free speech and criminalize any criticism of Islam.

  • The growing Muslim Brotherhood threat and how Islamic sharia law is creeping into America.

  • How the history and doctrines of Islam are being misrepresented in public school textbooks and classrooms

For a taste of what is in store for you, check out one of Brigitte’s recent speeches at an event in Nashville, Tennessee:

But even more important than this, Brigitte will spell out the strategies and tactics ACT! for America is employing to effectively fight back against these threats.

Brigitte’s message will be illuminating, at times disturbing and even shocking—but ultimately inspiring, empowering, and filled with hope!

You will hear first-hand how ACT! for America is successfully rolling back the tide of radical Islam…how we are winning legislative victories…how we don’t have to live in fear or resign ourselves to the inevitability of the threats arrayed against us...and how we will prevail.

I also encourage you to email this to people you know who might be interested in attending. A few years ago we did an event like this in Indiana and one of our members in Oregon found out about it and emailed a friend in Indiana—who then brought 21 people to the event!!

We’re sending this email to all of our members in Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia because we know, from prior experience, that many people are willing to travel to hear Brigitte speak and they forward announcements like these to people they know who live in the area.

I know those of you who have heard Brigitte will agree—you don’t want to miss this! It will be an event people will be talking about for a long time to come!

Invite your friends and come join us in Hayes, Virginia! We look forward to seeing you on June 19th.
