Time To Pull Together

I have put off writing the post for some weeks now, but with the ugly and disgustingly dirty campaign that the DNC is putting forth on our TV sets and radios, it is time to address the U.S. Senate race here in Virginia.  I know many of you are not a fan of Allen and even hold less regard for Kaine, but those are our choices.  You may be inclined to stay home or not vote as a means of protest and though I understand this action, it will not aid us in the end.

We need to step up and work with the candidate that is willing to listen and accept some direction on issues that concern us the most.  Its a pipe dream to think that either would adopt our platform completely, but if we extend the olive branch to our chosen candidate and work to educate him on issues while assisting him in the election, we may just very well open up a line of communication in which will benefit both the Patriots and the candidate.

All politics are local and this is fact, but it does not hurt our causes to have the ear and trust of one of our U.S. Senators.  For too long our pleas have fell on the deaf ears of our current Senators.  Both of them are too busy pulling their party line to be concerned about the damage they have done to our beloved State and Country. It is time to fill one of those seats with an individual that will listen and act on our concerns.

The Tea Party actually sits in the driver seat on this election.  If we do not support Allen he will not win. The Republican Party is split between Constitutional Conservative Tea Party members and liberal leaning statist. The Tea Party holds the keys to an Allen victory ...its just that simple.  This does not mean that we can bully or intimidate the Republican candidate into adopting our positions on issues.  What it does mean is that we have a seat at the table and can carefully and diligently introduce our position on issues and the reasons why we hold those positions.  This is an opportunity we have never had before and it is a chance to show both Democrat and Republican parties our unwavering resolve in the matter of elections and moving our Constitutional Values forward.

I ask each and everyone of the Pen Pats to give careful consideration as to what you can do to be part of the solution that helps educate candidate Allen and allow our positions to be adopted by him.  We need to build this bridge on a strong foundation of mutual respect and trust.  We should be the first to extend a invitation to the Allen Campaign and hopefully they will recognize the importance of our gesture.  If not we best prepare ourselves for 6 more years of a Harry Reid pawn holding one of Virginia's U.S. Senate seats.
